“Ilenya 20 minuti di gloria” è un dispositivo performativo pop che si svolge come una diretta televisiva. In scena una performer e un aiuto regia conducono uno show dal vivo che rievoca l’immaginario dei primi Duemila — “Sarabanda”, MTV, le sigle Mediaset, la cultura dei talent e dei quiz. Una sequenza di stacchetti brevi, riconoscibili, ironici, si alterna a momenti di interazione con il pubblico, che diventa protagonista del gioco.
Come in uno studio TV, tutto avviene “in diretta”: la performer chiede “Chi vota per Oops!… I Did It Again?” e il pubblico risponde alzando la mano, scegliendo quale stacchetto verrà danzato. La scelta collettiva determina la drammaturgia in tempo reale. A poco a poco il pubblico passa da spettatore a interprete: guidato dalla performer, impara i frammenti scelti e li esegue coralmente, in canone, come un grande corpo unico.
“20 minuti di gloria” è un esperimento di memoria e appartenenza, un gioco sulla cultura pop e sulla costruzione del consenso. Un talent condiviso, un archivio vivente di gesti televisivi. Vent’anni dopo, venti minuti di gloria.

“Ilenya 20 Minutes of Glory” is a pop performative device that unfolds like a live television broadcast. On stage, a performer and an assistant director host a live show that evokes the imaginary of the early 2000s — Sarabanda, MTV, Mediaset TV idents, talent shows and quiz culture. A sequence of short, recognizable, ironic jingles alternates with moments of interaction with the audience, who become the protagonists of the game.
As in a TV studio, everything happens “live”: the performer asks, “Who votes for Oops!… I Did It Again?” and the audience responds by raising their hands, choosing which jingle will be danced. The collective choice determines the dramaturgy in real time. Gradually, the audience shifts from spectators to performers: guided by the performer, they learn the selected fragments and perform them together, in canon, like one large collective body.
“20 Minutes of Glory” is an experiment in memory and belonging, a playful reflection on pop culture and the construction of consensus. A shared talent show, a living archive of television gestures. Twenty years later, twenty minutes of glory.
