Laura Gazzani is an Italian artist active in the field of live performance specifically dance.
Her research focuses on the relationship between the performer, the environment in which he or she is immersed and the audience, making performance a meeting place in which to live an experience of continuous negotiation between what appears and what happens.
After completing her academic studies, she deepened her practice in the United States and Spain beginning her career as a dancer collaborating with Elena Giannotti, Meyling Bisogno, Sidra Bell and Ron Amit. In 2018 she begins her journey as an author with “CoNfUse,” in collaboration with Melania Pallini, through which she is selected in 2020 for Nuove Traiettorie XL, an action of the Network Anticorpi XL. In 2019 she creates in collaboration with four other artists “Flying Carpet,” a project that investigates sustainability strategies for the dance artist profession in the Italian dance system. “PEDRO” is her first choreographic solo selected for the Vetrina della giovane danza d’autore 2021. In 2020, she is represented by MilanOltre Festival within the TDP International Dance Festival (Dublin) as a dancemaker in leading a group of artists to experiment with new forms of artistic interaction in digital. In 2021 she created Walter, an Anghiari Dance Hub and Zerogrammi co-production supported in 2022 by the ResiDance XL action of the Network Anticorpi XL and winner of the call Danza Urbana XL 2022 and Dancescapes Mobility Grant 2022. Since September 2022 she has been Zerogrammi’s associate artist with her new work Enrico.

Laura Gazzani è un’artista italiana attiva nell’ambito dello spettacolo dal vivo nello specifico della danza.La sua ricerca pone al centro la relazione fra il performer, l’ambiente in cui è immerso e lo spettatore, rendendo la performance un luogo di incontro in cui vivere un’esperienza di continua negoziazione tra ciò che appare e ciò che accade.
Dopo aver ultimato gli studi accademici, approfondisce la sua pratica negli Stati Uniti e in Spagna iniziando la carriera di danzatrice collaborando con Elena Giannotti, Meyling Bisogno, Sidra Bell e Ron Amit. Nel 2018 inizia il suo percorso da autrice con “CoNfUse”, in collaborazione con Melania Pallini, attraverso il quale viene selezionata nel 2020 per Nuove Traiettorie XL, azione del Network Anticorpi XL. Nel 2019 crea in collaborazione con altre quattro artiste “Flying Carpet”, un progetto che indaga strategie di sostenibilità per la professione del dance artist nel sistema danza italiano. “PEDRO” è il suo primo solo coreografico selezionato per la Vetrina della giovane danza d’autore 2021. Nel 2020 è rappresentata dal MilanOltre Festival all’interno del TDP International Dance Festival (Dublino) come dancemaker nel guidare un gruppo di artisti per sperimentare nuove forme di interazione artistica nel digitale. Nel 2021 creaWalter, una co-produzione Anghiari Dance Hub e Zerogrammi sostenuto nel 2022 dall’azione ResiDance XL del Network Anticorpi XL e vincitore del bando Danza Urbana XL 2022 e Dancescapes Mobility Grant 2022. Da Settembre 2022 è artista associata di Zerogrammi con il suo nuovo lavoro Enrico.
