Enrico is a performance for 3 dancers on stage and inspired by the figure of Enrico Cecchetti, a famous Italian dancer and ballet master, creator of the well- known method that bears his name.
The technique and virtuosity of his method become research and study tools to access the vulnerability of performers who inevitably reveal their human side on stage.
The moment in which the performer is simultaneously required to create harmony between muscles, concentrate, manage weight, coordinate breathing, is a fragile and fascinating instant in which imperfections, smudges can appear, and it is in that moment that the performer reveals – for a brief instant – to the eyes of the beholder his or her ‘human’ side.
Enrico wishes to create a shared experience between the audience and the performers by bringing out the performer as ‘human’ and not as a perfect performer, attempting to create an empathetic channel of communication with the audience who in turn, attentive to the vulnerability of the moment, may feel part of what is happening.
As a performer and author, I have always nurtured a strong fascination for methodology in general because I believe that, in the virtuosity of the technique itself, lies the human side of those who practice it
Thanks to Enrico, I would like to deepen the authorial research I began with my previous work, Walter, which addresses a question that is important to me: what is the relationship between the stage and the audience?
My desire with this new work is to break the fourth wall and create a unicum between audience and performer; the light is uniform throughout the space and the sound travels as in continuous waves from the stalls to the stage and vice versa.

Enrico è uno spettacolo per 3 danzatori in scena e che si ispira alla figura di Enrico Cecchetti, noto ballerino e maestro di balletto italiano, creatore del noto metodo che porta il suo nome. La tecnica e i virtuosismi del suo metodo diventano strumenti di ricerca e studio per accedere alla vulnerabilità dei performer che rivelano, inevitabilmente, in scena il loro lato umano. L’attimo in cui all’interprete è richiesto in contemporanea di creare armonia fra i muscoli, concentrarsi, gestire il peso, coordinare il respiro, è un istante fragile e affascinante in cui possono comparire le imperfezioni, le sbavature, ed è in quel momento che il performer rivela – per un breve istante – agli occhi di chi guarda il proprio lato “umano”. Enrico desidera creare un’esperienza condivisa fra il pubblico e i performer, facendo emergere l’interprete nel suo lato “umano” e non solo come perfetto esecutore, tentando di creare un canale empatico e di comunicazione con il pubblico che a sua volta, attento alla vulnerabilità del momento, potrebbe sentirsi parte integrante di ciò che sta accadendo in scena.
Come interprete e come autrice ho sempre nutrito una forte fascinazione per la metodologia in generale perché credo che, nell’esecuzione del virtuosismo della tecnica stessa, si celi il lato umano di chi la pratica
Grazie a Enrico vorrei approfondire la ricerca autoriale iniziata con il mio precedente lavoro, Walter, che si rifà ad una domanda per me importante: quale il rapporto fra la scena e il pubblico?
Il mio desiderio, con questo nuovo lavoro, è quello di rompere la quarta parete e creare un unicum fra pubblico e performer; la luce è uniforme in tutto lo spazio e il suono viaggia come ad onde continue dalla platea al palcoscenico e viceversa.
